The Office of Economic Development Workforce Development offers various classroom assessment and training programs designed to meet your needs and those of your future employer. Our computer skills curriculum consists of individual classes that teach job seekers how to use the software applications most in demand by employers. Best of all, classes are offered at no cost to you!
SUBJECTS:
- Computer Basics - Gain an understanding of the functions of a computer and how to use them.
- Word (Beginning) - Create, edit, format, save and print a document; essential for resume development.
- Internet/Email/Online Applications - Gain an understanding of the Internet and how to find information. Using the Internet, create an email account and learn how to use it. Customers will receive instruction in online job application processes and etiquette relating to completing an application.
Subjects offered Monday through Thursday as half-day workshops. Please note that schedules are subject to change. Seating is limited so please arrive early.
