2009 marks the sixth year of One Book, One Denver, Mayor John Hickenlooper's citywide book club created to build community and encourage people to read. Denver citizens, young and old, are invited to join others in the shared experience of reading the same book and participating in fun activities through October.
This year, we are excited to announce the a new partnership with The Big Read! The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest.
One Book, One Denver is brought to the community by the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs and a diverse group of partners including educational, arts and literary organizations throughout the city. All One Book, One Denver activites are free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
