Noxious & Problem Weed Management
Goals are to manage noxious weeds and ensure Denver's compliance with the State's noxious weed mandate:
a) Develop a citywide integrated noxious weed management program based on ecological and economic principles.
b) Employ an integrated approach which includes the use of plant diversity, competition and succession, physical, biological, cultural and chemical controls as well as habitat modification where necessary.
c) Develop an integrated weed management program for plants that are a nuisance, but not considered noxious.
d) Respond promptly and effectively in managing weedy species in order to reduce costs and time. This will allow more dollars to be spent for other purposes.
e) Bring Denver County into compliance with Colorado Noxious Weed Act.
