Practice Days and Times:
 Ages 5-8 Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Ages 9-16 Monday and Wednesday 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Optional Practice on Friday 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM)

Track Meets:
 All meets will be held on Saturdays and start at 8:00 AM. It is expected that participants attend at least two meets.

Cost:
 $50 per child (includes team jersey). Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

Registration for the S.O.A.R. After School Program will begin on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at noon. Registration can be done online (we strongly recommend registering online in order to have the best chance of reserving a space for your child*). To help speed up the registration process, applicants can search for the program before it opens and place it on their “wish list”. This will save you time once the registration opens. 

You can also register in person at Community Recreation Monday through Friday between   9:00 AM and 5:00 pm (1849 Emerson St, Denver, CO 80218). Regardless of which option applicants choose, families must first create an account in our online registration system.

This program offers teens the opportunity to become familiar with a host of skills that will help prepare them for the future, as well as introduce them to what is required to work as a Recreation Instructor with the City and County of Denver. 

Are you ready to prepare for your future?
At this leadership-based program for teens, participants will work with recreation staff at a summer program site to gain hands on experience as well as attend various breakaway sessions to develop and improve various skills. The S.O.A.R. After School Program is a licensed child care program designed around four components of extended learning opportunities. Meaningful skill development is built around academics, sports and wellness, arts and culture, and community engagement. This safe and inclusive comprehensive program implemented by qualified youth developers, also incorporates healthy snacks daily. Students also have the opportunity to experience two field trips throughout the year. S.O.A.R. is committed to building a healthy after-school community; therefore we ask that students attend program daily.
