The DPR Youth Splash & Dash Aquathon series is open to athletes ages 7-15. With a focus on participation rather than competition, this series serves as an introduction to multi-sport and promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Participation benefits:

  • Exposes youth to the multi-sport lifestyle in a fun, safe atmosphere
  • Engages youth athletes in pre- and post-race activities such as clinics and educational vendor areas
  • Creates opportunities to meet new friends and other youth athletes with common interests
  • Requires less equipment than other triathlon races since Splash & Dash does not require a bike
  • All participants will receive a finisher medal and event t-shirt

USAT (USA Triathlon) Membership

An annual membership allows an athlete to compete in USA Triathlon sanctioned races while receiving many benefits including: a subscription to the quarterly USA Triathlon publication, inclusion in the USA Triathlon national ranking system (after competing in at least three USAT sanctioned triathlon events or two duathlon, aquathlon or off-road triathlon events), discounts from USA Triathlon sponsors, and eligibility to qualify as a Team USA member and compete at ITU World Championship events. An annual membership also includes unlimited one-day licenses for races occurring within the membership period.

What is a one-day license?
A one-day license allows an athlete to compete in a USA Triathlon sanctioned race without purchasing an annual membership.  One-day licenses are purchased for a specific race, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable.

Why do I have to purchase a one-day license or annual membership for my event?
When a race director sanctions with USA Triathlon, it is required for each participant to purchase either a one-day license or hold an annual membership in order to participate in said event.
