City Park Fountain Coming Back
The City Park Electric Fountain will return for another summer of stunning water and light displays beginning on Friday, May 22 at Noon. Light shows will take place every half hour after dark, usually between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Spring Into Health
Join Denver Parks and Recreation at the Denver Zoo on May 28 for Spring into Health 2009. Our featured keynote speaker will be renowned veterinarian and comedian Kevin Fitzgerald. There will also be a resource fair, health screenings, free chair massages and a one-mile walk around the Denver Zoo. Advanced tickets may be purchased for only $5 at any Denver Recreation Center. Day-of ticket purchase pay the full Denver Zoo admission price of $12. For more information, call Mary Madrid at 303.458.4868.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic goodies for a fun-filled night watching a movie in one of Denver’s beautiful urban parks. The Denver Parks and Recreation department is hosting its fourth season of Movies in the Parks.

Urban Blends Art Show and Performance

“Urban Blends” is a brand new fan-zine created to demonstrate, illustrate and recognize the efforts and talents of middle school youth in the various Denver Parks and Recreation After School Programs: Social Opportunities through Arts and Recreation (SOAR). The show will be on Friday, May 8th at 5:15pm and will take place at Merrill Middle School. The 10th Annual Talent Show will begin directly after the Urban Blends exhibit running from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Help Re-design the New Play Areas at Hampden Hts. Park, Observatory Park and Pulaski Park!
Denver Parks and Recreation needs your help to determine the future designs for play areas at Hampden Hts., Observatory, and Pulaski Parks.  The playground projects are part of the "Better Denver" bond program approved by City residents in 2007.  Give us your in-put on the preliminary concept designs for the playgrounds to help us create a fun-filled playground for your neighborhood.
