Forestry: New Resident and Developer Fees to Maintain Trees
Forestry: New Resident and Developer Fees to Maintain Trees

The new ordinance also includes a Development Review Fee and Tree Preservation Fee that apply to new, large-scale developments zoned R, MS or B and in excess of 10,000 square feet. The Tree Preservation Fee applies to permits pulled for demolition and new construction within a R-0, R-1, R-2 or R-2-B zone lot. This fee will be assessed to developers, contractors or private property owners involved in "in-fill" residential development. These fees will range from $250 - 1,000 depending on the size of the project and will offset the associated City costs of plan reviews, site visits and other associated work.
