Citywide Payroll Open César Chávez day

Though the City will be closed in observance of César Chávez day on March 28, your Citywide Payroll will still be open in order to process payroll for the 4/1/2011 paycheck. Timecards must be completed and approved by the employee and approved by the supervisor by Monday, March 28 at 10 am. (Completing and approving timecards before leaving for the extended holiday weekend is acceptable and encouraged).

Tax Updates

Please be aware that in 2009 and 2010, most wage earners benefited from the changes made to the federal income tax withholding tables to implement the "Making Work Pay" tax credit. This credit ended in December of 2010 and therefore, has been updated in PeopleSoft. As of this pay period, you may see a difference in your taxes due to this update.

Positive Pay for Non-Exempt Employees beginning 2/27/2011

Beginning Sunday, February 27, the City and County of Denver implemented Positive Pay for non-exempt employees. Positive Pay means that non-exempt employees will be paid for the hours worked and paid leave reported on their timecards without the manual intervention of the without pay codes.

Scheduled PeopleSoft Human Resource outage

PeopleSoft Human Resource outage scheduled for Friday, March 4, starting at 12 noon through Monday, March 7, ending at 6 a.m.

Please view your 3/4/2011 pay stub between March 2nd and noon on Friday, March 4; otherwise you will be required to wait until the following week. Paychecks will be deposited in your account on Friday, March 4; however, your pay stub is available for early viewing beginning March 2.
