Denver police arrest "Crummy Cookie Bandits"

Denver Police arrested two men suspected of several robberies in the Denver metro area who were known as the “Crummy Cookie Bandits.”

Rodney Mitchell (D.O.B. 03-25-1992) and Dartanian Mitchell (D.O.B. 12-27-1977) were taken into custody without incident on December 6, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Officers received numerous tips regarding the identity and location of these suspects. After a successful surveillance operation, they were apprehended in the Blockbuster video parking lot located at Colfax Avenue and Corona Street.

Both are being held in the Denver jail for Investigation of Aggravated Robbery. Dartanian Mitchell, at the time of his arrest, had outstanding warrants for Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief, and Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft. There is also one pending case in the city of Lakewood, Colorado.
