Civilian employee of the month - Jina Vigil

Civilian employee of the month - Jina Vigil

Congratulations to Jina Vigil from the Denver Police Department Identification Bureau for receiving the CSA Employee of the Month award. Ms. Vigil, who has been an employee of the City for almost ten years, is being recognized for her professional and positive demeanor as she assists detectives with Sex Offender Registrations.

In many cases, individuals needing to register show a lack of respect to officers and employees completing the required documentation. Despite this treatment, Ms. Vigil still responds with respect and a dedication to her work. This award came as a result of her attention to detail when working with a potentially difficult individual that required the process be expedited.

When the suspect arrived, Ms. Vigil maintained her professional and positive demeanor, as she always does when completing her job. She quickly took the suspect’s photo, documented his tattoos and obtained fingerprints and palm prints, all as required by law. The registration process, which normally takes two hours to complete, was done in under a half hour, limiting the possibility of difficulties that could have occurred.

Ms. Vigil is an asset to the Denver Police Department and to the citizens of the City and County of Denver.

Congratulations and thank you, Jina!
