District 5 Station
About Us

Lisa Fair
District 5 Commander,
The officers of District Five are responsible for public safety in the Stapleton Northfield, Montbello, Parkfield, Gateway, and Green Valley Ranch neighborhoods and communities. The geographical boundaries of the District expanded when Denver International Airport was opened and Stapleton Airport was decommissioned. The general boundaries are 56th Avenue to the north, 38th Avenue to the South, Quebec Street on the west, and Piccadilly Road on the east. However, in some parts of the District, the actual boundaries vary and can extend as far north as 72nd Avenue near Denver International Airport (DIA).
District Five is staffed by 81 officers. The patrol officers work 10 hour shifts, which allows for shifts to overlap during periods of peak calls for service. The patrol functions are supplemented by the NSCAT Unit (Neighborhood Special Crime Attack Team), High School Resource Officers (HSRO's), Community Resource Officers (CRO's), and the Investigations Unit. In addition to Commander Fair, there are 4 lieutenants and 11 sergeants who supervise, and also manage the training of District Five patrol officers and detectives.
The District Five station is located at 4685 North Peoria Street, at the north end of the Arie P. Taylor Building. The public entrance to the station is on the Paris Street side of the building, which is shared with the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle and other city agencies. An officer assigned as the District Clerk is available at the front desk (24 hours daily) to address any public safety needs. The District Clerk can be reached at 303 376-2300, or at anytime in person.
