  1. Check our product list for digital data (Products not available via FTP: Planning Studies, Reports, and Database Information.)
  2. Browse available digital GIS products.
  3. Agree to the GIS Ordinance.
  4. Receive an email with a username and password.
  5. Download the GIS Data for free!

    For your convenience a link to a Beginner's Guide to FTP Data Download has been provided.

*NOTE: It is recommended to use DSL or T1 connections to download the information.  If dial-up is used, please expect longer download times or incomplete data downloads.

Policy Changes

NEW DATA: Building outlines have been added to the DenverGIS FTP site in the communityplanning folder.

The following are policy changes:

As per NSDI Appropriate Access to Geospatial Data, State of Colorado Homeland Security guidelines, and the Presidential Directive HSPD-7 recommendations, the following digital critical infrastructure products are not available: Sanitary Sewers and Storm Sewers.

The GIS License Agreement has been written to ordinance and has amended Denver's Revised Municipal Code. Acceptance of the City's GIS Ordinance and a completed GIS Data Request Form are required for all products and services.

Per the Manager of Public Works: As of January 1, 2008, the GIS Digital Fee Schedule has been revised.  Access the updated digital fee schedule here.  The fees for digital reproduction, additional media, custom products, and hard copy map printing are NOT waived.
