If you would like to report a vehicle as abandoned, please call (303) 295-4367 and leave the following information:
- Address where the vehicle is located
- Description of the vehicle including make, model, year and color of the vehicle.
- License Plate number on the vehicle
An officer will respond to the location of the abandoned vehicle and post a notice on the vehicle (this may take a few days). If the vehicle has not been moved or operated within (72) hours after the notice is posted, an officer will remove and impound the vehicle.
If your vehicle has an Abandoned Vehicle Notice posted and you want to demonstrate your vehicle is not abandoned, you need only drive the vehicle from the marked location before the officer returns to check on the vehicle. If the vehicle has been moved, the officer will know that it is not abandoned.
