The pages below contain the 2005 Statistical Neighborhood Crime Rankings for the City and County of Denver. Both the actual number of crimes (frequency) and the rate per 1,000 residents are provided. The data is sorted by the rate per 1,000 residents with 1 being the highest crime ranking and 72 being the lowest. A rate of 56.8 offenses and a ranking of 10, for example, means that 57 out of 1,000 people were victims of crime and the neighborhood was ranked the 10th highest in crime. The actual number of reported offenses (frequency counts) should not be used in comparing one neighborhood with another due to the differences in size and population of each neighborhood. The crime rates (rate per 1,000) standardizes the data for valid comparisons.
