John F. Kennedy HS Homecoming Parade |
Parade departs from the school parking lot on the north side of the school onto S. Lamar Street, proceeds south to W. Dartmouth Ave., east S. Ivan St., north to W. Bates Ave., east to S. Harlan Way., east and back onto W. Bates Ave. to S. Golden Way, south to W. Dartmouth Ave., east to S. Raleigh Street, north to W. Cornell Ave., west to S. Vrain St., south to W. Dartmouth Ave., west on W. Dartmouth Ave. to return to S. Lamar St., back north to JFK H.S. where the parade returns to the school parking lot where it concludes. The parade is expected to take approximately seventy-five (75) minutes to complete. The parade route will pass three (3) feeder schools, Traylor Elementary (W. Bates Ave. and S. Ivan Way), Henry World School (W. Bates Ave. and S. Golden Way) and Sabin Elementary (3050 S. Vrain St.). |

Run starts at 18th & Wynkoop Street. South on Wynkoop St. to the pedestrian bridge, right onto the bike path for the Platte River Trail, downstream to the Cherry Creek Bike Trail, left at Confluence Park and go upstream to the REI Bridge, turn right over the bridge, turn right and go back on the bike path downstream, at the City of Cuernavaca Park, turn right and go over bridge to the east side of the Platte River (the bridge near Rockmont Dr.) follow the bike path back to 20th St., turn right and go to the Platte River, turn left at the Platte River and go under 20 St., turn left at the 19th St. bridge and follow it to Little Raven St., turn right onto Little Raven St., (USING THE SIDEWALK ONLY ON LITTLE RAVEN BETWEEN 19TH & 15TH STREETS) and go past 15th St. to the Speer Blvd. Bridge, turn right just after the bridge and proceed towards the Platte River. Turn right at the Platte River and follow to the Cherry Creek Bike Path. Turn right at the Cherry Creek Bike Path and go upstream, exiting at Wynkoop St. Turn left on Wynkoop St., go over the pedestrian bridge, onto NB Wynkoop St. for the return to the finish line.
