CollegeInvest Mile High GRADS Program
The CollegeInvest Mile-High GRADS Program is a groundbreaking partnership between the City and County of Denver and CollegeInvest, Colorado’s not-for-profit higher education financing resource.
The program provides another tool for Denver high school graduates to help pay for college by providing them with low-cost student loans. Upon graduation from college, a portion of their student loan debt will be forgiven.
How Does It Work? The program provides all 2005-2009 DPS high school graduates (or any student who is a resident of Denver and earns the equivalent of a high school diploma between 2005 and 2009) with low-cost student loans to help finance higher education, with a partial debt forgiveness aspect upon their completion of a college degree. The forgiveness amount will vary depending on the degree received:
Degree Earned Amount Forgiven Upon Graduation* Vocational Certificate Up to $300 Associate Degree Up to $750 Bachelor’s Degree Up to $1,500
How Do I Register? For more information and to register, go to www.collegeinvest.org/grads, or you may fill out a paper registration available in your high school counselor’s office.
*Amount of loan forgiveness dependant upon participation, average borrower indebtedness and other factors. Figures are estimates.
