Neighborhoods and residents may want to inquire about the residential parking program when they begin to experience increased parking by non-residents. Requests for parking restrictions may be submitted to Public Works Traffic Engineering Services by a resident of a block or area if the area experiences increased parking by non-residents. Inquiries should be sent to email@example.com.
Information is gathered to begin a review of the area and the conditions. If review findings recommend the RPP program as an appropriate solution for the existing conditions the department prepares a survey form to be circulated to all property owners and residents of the block. The form is used to indicate those who would favor or oppose the proposed restrictions.
The completed form is returned to the department. If a residential parking program is approved by the City and signs installed, residents may apply for a Residential Parking Permit (decal) that exempts their vehicle(s) from the posted restrictions.
