General Statement of Work
GH Phipps is working in conjunction with the City of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to procure General Contractors for this ADA improvement project.
The project includes correction of ADA non-compliant elements on the interior and exterior of 3 police stations, 5 fire stations and the Van Cise Detention Center. The interior renovations include selective demolition and alterations to toilet compartments, toilet accessories, water coolers / drinking fountains, sinks, countertops, and associated flooring and finishes as well as demolition and replacement of flooring and handrails at existing access ramps. The exterior construction includes removal and replacement on non-compliant ADA access ramps, sidewalks, and portions of parking areas along with associated landscaping repairs. The work in the various can be done concurrently at the contractor’s choice and all locations will be fully occupied during construction. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate schedules with the various stakeholders at each facility to determine schedule as well as to provide separation of construction from staff and public.
Bid Opening on February 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
Bids will be received and accepted by GH Phipps via SmartBid.

Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, DRMC. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
