General Statement of Work

GH Phipps is working in conjunction with the City of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to procure General Contractors for this ADA improvement project.

The project includes correction of ADA non-compliant elements at Denver Center for Performing Arts – Ellie Caulkins Opera House including selective demolition and replacement of finishes, toilet accessories and partitions, drywall, plumbing and electrical; glass, wood and steel railings; demolition and reconstruction of stage in basement, wood flooring, glass railings, lighting.  The work in the various areas will be phased based on the provided Phasing Plan and Preliminary Schedule with Phase 1 starting May 1, 2023 and Phase 2 starting approximately June 5, 2023 and Phase 3 Steve Taylor area stage overlapping with Phase 2.  Please see scoring criteria for more detail on selection process.

City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
