General Statement of Work

GH Phipps is working in conjunction with the City of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure to procure General Contractors for this ADA improvement project.

The project includes correction of ADA non-compliant elements at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre including removal and replacement of the Top Circle Lot and Upper Ramp Walkway to the recently replaced upper Plaza; removal and replacement of the South Ramp Walkway and Shuttle Stop; removal and replacement of the existing Upper South Parking Lot and the creation of an additional Upper South Parking Lot; new restroom building between the new Upper South Parking Lots; new portable toilet enclosures at the Upper South Parking Lot and Top Circle Lot; removal and replacement of (2) two ramps at the Trading Post; replacement of accessible parking at the Trading Post and Box Office parking lots; new electrical gear at the Upper North Lot.  The specific scopes includes site demo, earthwork, concrete paving, curb and gutter, concrete retaining walls, stone veneer, steel railings, bollards and gates, glulam roof structure, roofing, interior building finishes and toilet specialties, plumbing, electrical including new electrical gear, site lighting, asphalt paving and pavement markings, storm drainage, water and sewer services, site fences, guardrails and landscaping.

The work in the various areas will be turned over phases based on the provided Phasing Plan and Preliminary Schedule with construction starting November 13, 2023.  The Top Circle Lot, ramp and South Ramp Walkway are required to be turned over by March 29, 2024, prior to Easter sunrise services.  The remainder of the work not adjacent to the Venue must be complete by June 10, 2024.  Please see scoring criteria for more detail on selection process.

City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
