The Department of Transportation & Infrastructure (“DOTI”), City and County of Denver (“City”), has issued a Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) for Construction Manager/General Contractor (“CM/GC”) services for the project named above. General Statement of Work:

The City and County of Denver is soliciting proposals from interested firms to provide Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) services for complex renovation of the existing PADF Facility for relocation of DPD #6. 1331 Cherokee Street, Denver, CO 80203.  The project includes a complex renovation of the PADF facility to include complete demolition of the existing interior and exterior down to structure.

The project described above is part of the 2017 Elevate Denver Bond Program, which is a 10-year, $937 million general obligation bond program approved by voters in 2017. The program will enhance the City and County of Denver by providing critical improvements to the City’s infrastructure – improving our roads, sidewalks, parks, recreation centers, libraries, cultural centers, public-owned buildings and safety facilities. Workforce development programs promote economic growth through the coordination of public, private, and nonprofit sector resources to support a combination of education and training services to prepare individuals for work and to help them improve their prospects for entering and succeeding in the labor market. To accomplish this, workforce development policies and programs may be focused on individual training and education, societal economic stability and growth, or skills training needed by employers to help organizations remain competitive in a global marketplace.

Proposals are due no later than 11:00 a.m. local time, November 1, 2022 and will ONLY be received and accepted through www.bidnetdirect.com//cityandcountyofdenverdoti. Late submissions will not be accepted.

MWBE Participation Goal: 15%

Prequalification:  Each contractor must be prequalified in category 2A General Building Unoccupied Building at the $50,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each contractor must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the Proposal due date. Applications must be submitted via B2Gnow. Miscellaneous:

Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, DRMC.

City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 DRMC.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all proposals.
