The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, City and County of Denver, has issued a Request for Qualifications (the “RFQ”) for On Call Construction Services for Bridge and Structural Project Delivery (LARGE). General Statement of Work:
The City and County of Denver, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (“DOTI”) Bridge Group is seeking general contractors to provide On-Call construction services as needed for construction work on bridges, culverts, and/or miscellaneous structures that facilitate vehicular and pedestrian traffic as well as electrical elements that facilitate lighting in these areas. The City anticipates awarding multiple contracts to multiple general contractors.

MWBE Participation Goal: 12%
Project goals must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-63, D.R.M.C. or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort under Section 28-64 D.R.M.C. A draft utilization plan is a required submittal as part of the response to this RFQ and it will be scored. DSBO’s approval of the utilization plan will be required prior to receiving an executed contract or notice to proceed.
Cost Estimate: The On-Call construction services will have a maximum contract limit of $25,000,000.00 for a three-year duration.
Prequalification Requirements
Each contractor must be prequalified in category 1G(1) Major Bridge Work at the $9,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each contractor must have submitted their prequalification application(s) a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the Proposal due date. Applications must be submitted via B2Gnow. Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.
City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Manager of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
