General Statement of Work
The goal of the Ellsworth Ave. Storm project is to improve drainage and mitigate ponding, icing, and flooding that occurs on Ellsworth Ave. during storm events. Phase 1 was the downstream end of the project from Steele to Cook St. in the Cherry Creek East neighborhood and was completed in 2022. Phase 2 will take off where Phase 1 left off, just west of Madison on Ellsworth Ave., and will continue two and a half blocks to Garfield St. Storm mains ranging from 24” to 36” RCP and 53”x34” HERCP, laterals, manholes, and inlets will be installed to intercept flows. Ellsworth will be regraded and repaved to eliminate flat areas that currently experience ponding and icing. Work will also include waterline adjustments and improvements to sidewalks, curb and gutter, curb ramps, and driveways.
