General Statement of Work
The National Western Center Pedestrian Bridge project is located in Denver, CO on the National Western Center Campus. The project consists of constructing a new single-span pedestrian bridge between the 48th and Brighton RTD Station and the National Western Campus Plaza over 3 sets of railroad tracks. Bridge landing plazas to be constructed and include elevator towers with HVAC systems and adjacent staircase. Other key elements to construct include: lighting at the landing plaza facilities and inside the bridge, IT/Fiber connectivity for communications and security, a new 10-foot-wide sidewalk extending from the east plaza to tie into the existing sidewalk along Brighton Boulevard and a 30-foot-wide service road to be built on the east side of the east landing plaza.

Prequalification: Each bidder must be prequalified in category 1G Bridge Work at or above the $25,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each bidder must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the response due date. Applications must be submitted via B2Gnow. Prevailing Wage and Minimum Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C. City contracts are subject to payment of City Minimum Wage established pursuant to Section 20-82 through 20-84 D.R.M.C.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
