Other Donations

Out of concern for safety, bicycles and scooters of any size are not allowed on shelter property. Shelter guests who violate this standard will be given a warning, and if the issue persists, asked to leave.

We do understand that young children need stimulation. For this reason, we regularly direct families to nearby parks/playgrounds and are looking into creating safe play spaces for children within the shelters themselves. In the meantime, we highly encourage community partners and the general public to refer to the list of needed items below for our guests in shelter.

While all items are appreciated, we especially need:

  • Winter hats, gloves and scarves (men, women and children)
  • Hoodies, thermals and long sleeve shirts (men, women and children)
  • Closed toed or winter shoes (children’s)
  • Closed toed or winter shoes (women’s, sizes 4, 5, 6, 7)

The following dashboard reflects current and historical data regarding the city's migrant support efforts. The top section shows current day totals of the number of migrants arriving in Denver (yesterday and today), the total number of migrants served by the city since the city started keeping records, the current number of migrants in city facilities, and the current number of migrants in non-city facilities operated by city staff and volunteers.
