Denver Finalizes Purchase of Two Key Buildings

The City and County of Denver today moved closer to finalizing the purchase of two key buildings. Following the approval of two Certificates of Participation (COP) transactions at Denver City Council today, the city can finalize the financing to purchase the former Embassy Suites at 7525 E. Hampden Ave. and the Denver Post Building at 101 West Colfax Ave.

Denver Provides Loan to Stabilize Housing Options at Mobile Home Park

Denver Activates Severe Weather Shelter Tuesday, Feb. 27

With temperatures expected to reach overnight lows below 20 degrees, the Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST) is opening severe weather shelter from 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the McNichols Civic Center Building, 144 W. Colfax Ave.

New Modular Sleeping Units Installed at Women’s Shelter

Continued improvements to Denver’s sheltering system took a step forward today with the addition of private sleeping areas at a women’s group shelter in east Denver. The Department of Housing Stability and Catholic Charities of Denver celebrated the recent installation of 97 private modular sleeping areas at Denver’s largest shelter for women experiencing homelessness.

Denver Extends Severe Weather Shelter to Feb. 17

City's Homelessness Dashboard Begins New Data Update Timeframe

The City’s homelessness dashboard is changing its update cadence from daily to once per week. Updates will take place on Mondays, and if a Monday lands on a city holiday, the dashboard will be updated the following business day.
