Growing up in Denver, Adrianna Abarca always felt like her cultural heritage was not adequately represented. So she’s on a mission to create community through the arts. As the founder and board chair of the Latino Cultural Arts Center, she is in the process of creating institutions that celebrate the work and heritage of Latinx artists. She spoke with I Am Denver about her plans for these spaces and why this work is so meaningful to her.
