¡Qué Viva la Raza! Honoring a Denver Legacy at Auraria Campus

Composite of Chicano images in black and white
“¡Qué Viva la Raza! Honoring a Denver Legacy” is an overview of the more than 150-year history of the Mexicano, Chicano and Latino peoples in Denver. It highlights voices from the community, including the owner of a beloved Northside restaurant, the founder and CEO of Tepeyac Community Health Center, and an artist and activist who’s a third-generation Westwood resident. Packed with historic images, the film documents, honors and preserves this proud history in the voices of the people.
This FREE screening is part of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration and empowerment events at the Auraria Campus on Sept. 16 from 12-8 p.m. and on Sept. 17 from 10am-3pm.
