As the oldest daughter of civil rights icons Corky and Geraldine Gonzales, Nita Gonzales was destined to become an activist. She began her activism career as a young adult during the Chicano Movement of the 70s that challenged the social injustices generations of Latinos endured. She told I Am Denver how her parents’ work inspired her to become a proud daughter of the movement.
