Working Cat Program
Are you tired of having mice and other rodents invade your space? You trap them, they just return. We have your solution! Consider hiring a working cat to take care of your barn, home, church, factory, or brewery! All you have to do is:
- Commit to giving them fresh food and water daily
- Commit to giving them any future medical care
- Commit to giving them a safe place from predators and inclement weather
These cats are already spayed or neutered, microchipped, ear-tipped, and fully vaccinated. You would be helping to reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens in your area and giving a homeless cat a chance at a happy, fulfilling life, it's a win-win! When adopting a working cat, we strongly recommend that the cat be kept confined for the first 6-12 weeks. This may be an extra-large wire crate in the barn they'll be living in or having access to the outdoors removed at first. The reason this is so important is to give the cat time to acclimate to their new surroundings. All the smells, sounds, and sights of a new place can be overwhelming, and if a cat is given the opportunity, it will try to find its way to its home territory. Giving your new working cat time to adjust and become accustomed to their new home will greatly benefit your new employee!
