You can make a difference for Denver's homeless and abused animals! Denver Animal Shelter relies on the generosity of community members to help provide the best possible care for the animals that take refuge at our facility. All donations are used to directly help the animals we serve - both at our shelter and in the community:
Monetary donations help shelter staff purchase food and necessities for the shelter animals.
Denver Animal Protection (DAP) operates Denver Animal Shelter (DAS), an open-admissions shelter that is home to nearly 10,000 lost and abandoned pets each year.
If you would like to donate to the shelter, you can do so in person or you can mail in your donation to:
Denver Animal Shelter 1241 W. Bayaud Ave. Denver, CO 80223
Please include your name and address so we can acknowledge your donation. Thank you for your generous support!
Denver Animal Shelter’s tax ID is EIN: 84-6000580. This is the same tax ID for the entire City and County of Denver. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Notice!
Starting May 1, 2025, the City and County of Denver will charge a 2.5% service fee for processing credit and debit card transactions. The service fee is non-refundable. There are no fees for payments by cash, business check or money order.
