Denver Animal Shelter Events

Caring for homeless animals is our passion but we couldn’t do it without you. When you support our events, we can continue to provide invaluable programs and services, including emergency and specialty medical care, the purchase of specialty veterinary equipment, free spay/neuter services, foster care, and more, for Denver’s most vulnerable animals. 

Your support of community events helps the more than 12,000 animals we serve at DAS and in Denver neighborhoods each year.

Clear the Shelters Adoption Event - through August

Through August, you’ll pay $50 for all dogs and $30 for cats! Regular adoption prices at Denver Animal Shelter are $150 for adult dogs, $95 for adult cats, $170 for puppies, $110 for kittens. Adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, vaccines, and a one-year license.

Over 1,150 dogs and cats have already found loving homes at DAS this year and about 73 dogs and cats are currently available for adoption. Another approximately 122 animals are featured in our lost pets section and may eventually come up for adoption. Check our website for a wide choice of your future furry friends!

 

Cycle for Strays - 9.23.23

Cycle for Strays is Denver Animal Shelter's team for the Denver Century Ride. We invite all animal lovers to join our team for the ride on Sept. 23, 2023 and/or donate to help support the 12,000+ animals whose lives we touch each year. Donations will help support the shelter’s foster program, enrichment, humane education, community outreach, spay/neuter services, and emergency medical care.

Denver Loves Pets: Stranger Things - 10.14.23

Denver Animal Shelter is pleased to extend you an invitation to Denver Loves Pets - Stranger Things, on Saturday, October 14, at the Grant-Humphrey's Mansion. The evening includes a strolling dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions and entertainment. It will be a totally tubular evening - blending a night out with the mission of helping our city's homeless animals.

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, 7 p.m. 

WHAT: A radical event that will transport guests to The Upside Down, while raising money to help Denver’s homeless animals. Ticket includes; a strolling dinner, open bar, silent and live auction, entertainment, a special giving opportunity + more.
