The Audit Analytics Team, a groundbreaking unit at the Auditor's Office, not only supports audits by performing analytics for audit teams, but analyzes some year-round data based on identified areas of risk.
About every six months, the team reports out on its continuous auditing analysis and areas of high risk it has found. These risks are added to the risk assessment process and flagged as potentially requiring additional audit work to validate.
