What is a temporary restaurant?

A retail food establishment, other than a licensed mobile retail food establishment or pushcart, that is not intended to be permanent. It operates at a fixed location for no more than 14 consecutive days. It is in conjunction with a single event or celebration.

A temporary restaurant license is required when a restaurant plans to take part in a fair or event with a temporary booth.

An event organizer can establish a temporary restaurant event record. It can add licensed temporary restaurant vendors intending on participating in the event.

When to apply for a temporary restaurant license

Temporary restaurants should apply at least seven business days before their scheduled event. Applications must be reviewed before license is issued. Allow time for that review process.
