Denver Announces Changes to Signage Requirements for Private Parking

Denver Begins Residential Rental Enforcement Efforts

Residential rental property addresses in Denver without a required license have begun receiving notifications of upcoming citations and fines if they do not apply for a residential rental license within 45 days. The first fine is $150, with a fine of $999 if a third citation is necessary.

Licensing Requirements Simplified for New Residential Rental License

With 60 days to go until all landlords in Denver with a multiunit residential rental property are required by law to have a city license, Denver has reduced the number of required documents and information required to make the process easier. Denver took this action after taking input from applicants and reviewing the common issues holding up successful licensing.

Denver removes requirement of providing proof of legal residency

In compliance with a new state law, as of July 1, the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses no longer requires proof of legal U.S. residency to apply for a business or occupational license in the City and County of Denver. In addition to lifting this requirement, Denver also added additional forms of identification that will be accepted.

Denver Opens Cannabis Social Equity Technical Assistance Program
