Update: Our application window for the 2026 Denver Police entry-level academies closed on May 15, 2026, as we reached the volume required to proceed in the hiring process. While a definitive date has not been set, we anticipate opening examinations for the 2027 academies in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Update: As of May 21, 2026, the start date for the Denver Police 26-2 Academy has been rescheduled from June 15, 2026 to October 5, 2026.
Update as of 8/4/2026 - The Police Entry-level 26-3 academy class scheduled for December 2026 has been cancelled due to shifting resource priorities. The Civil Service Commission is continuing to process all active applications and will place eligible candidates on the 2027 eligible register for consideration for the first academy class held in 2027, if one is scheduled.
