Ballots Mailed, Town Halls Planned to Encourage Participation

DENVER- Today, the Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder mailed 443,183 ballots to active registered Denver voters for the upcoming General Election. Voters may receive ballots as early as tomorrow into next week. Ballots were sent today as Monday is Indigenous People’s Day and the United States Postal Service is closed.
Voters can return their ballots starting today to any of Denver’s 45 drop boxes, open 24/7 throughout the city, by mail with two first class postage stamps, or vote in person at one of 39 Voter Service and Polling Centers, which will be opening in phases throughout October.
Ahead of the election, Clerk Paul López has planned robust engagement opportunities for the public to learn about what to expect for this election and discuss opportunities to increase participation city wide.
Below are three town halls planned in areas with disproportionately low ballot return rates:
West Denver Town Hall

Voters can expect to hear from Denver’s Chief Elections Official Clerk López and other community leaders about what to expect for the upcoming presidential election and why it’s so important to vote. The office will also provide free ‘Voting Party in a Bag’ materials, yard and window signs, and other giveaway items to encourage members of the public to engage in the upcoming election.
