Climate Action Task Force

The Denver Climate Action Task Force made recommendations to advance climate action. The key areas they discussed were:

  • Buildings
  • Transportation
  • Electricity
  • Energy Use
  • Emissions Sources
  • Resiliency and Adaptation

The task force engaged experts, stakeholders, and community members in their work. In the process, the task force:

  • Engaged Denver's communities to define goals, gaps, solutions and investment opportunities.
  • Reviewed the city's climate goals, current climate action work, and gaps in that work.
  • Recommended policies and solutions to meet goals in an equitable way.
  • Determined the level of funding needed to implement the proposed policies and solutions.

The Task Force met 14 times between January and June of 2020. All meetings were open to public observers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some meetings took place virtually. Meeting agendas, notes, and recordings are available by request.

In June 2020, the task force finished their work and created a report of recommendations.
