What Energize Denver is:

Buildings improve their building’s performance through energy efficiency. Every building in Denver 25,000 sq. ft. and larger has an energy efficiency target measured in Energy Use Intensity (EUI) that they must reach by 2032. This target is based on the building's use-type.

What Energize Denver is not:

Buildings are not required to electrify in order to be in compliance.
Buildings are not required to replace HVAC systems before their end of system life.
Buildings are not required to reduce their energy use by 30%. Each building’s target is unique.

What do buildings do to comply?
