City Government Closed Monday, January 19

Most City and County of Denver offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Solid waste collection will be on a regular schedule; customers should set carts out on their regular collection day.

Rebates for Building Decarbonization

Denver is investing millions of dollars to help developers, builders, building owners, and contractors improve our buildings. Improving our buildings leads to better health outcomes, more comfortable and productive occupants, and less pollution in our air. We are offering incentives that will reduce the cost for you to:

Install heat pumps in new construction or existing buildings
Design and build all-electric, Passive House buildings
Upskill your staff to be better equipped for green building

Pilot Rebate Program for All-Electric Affordable Housing

This pilot will provide funding for approximately 10 new affordable housing projects. Funding will help to cover the costs of all-electric space and water heating. Some projects may also pursue Passive House design and construction certifications.

Rebates for Energy Audits

Apply for a rebate to help offset the cost of an ASHRAE Level 2 (or higher) energy audit. Rebates apply to audits conducted on buildings that are subject to the Energize Denver Performance Policy.

Professional Development Rebates

Upskill your workforce! Ensure that your staff have the knowledge and skills to navigate the growing need for green building professionals. Get rebates to take trainings that will result in credentials that make you more competitive.

Pilot Embodied Carbon Reduction Potential for New Buildings

This pilot will provide funding for approximately three new commercial building projects in 2025 and another three in 2026. Funding will support building projects in lowering embodied carbon in building materials and to evaluate what is possible in Denver.
