We have curated a compilation of training videos, reports, guides, tools, best practices, and case studies of real-life projects that can serve as models for you to follow. These resources, local to Denver and from across the country, are examples of how design teams have kept their projects in compliance with local energy codes. They are intended to be examples that can show your team different ways to comply with an energy code like Denver’s.

Colorado Energy Office Code Adoption Toolkit

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) created an Energy Code Adoption Toolkit to assist Colorado cities through the process of energy code adoption.

The Toolkit also includes several resources such as:

  • Information about the benefits of current energy codes
  • An extensive library of buildings-related webinars
  • Technical analyses on electrification and following the energy code
  • Other energy code resources and best practices

The resources in this Energy Code Adoption Toolkit are designed to put all of the necessary code adoption information in one place, while walking you through the process. Please note: all Denver buildings must follow the Denver Energy Code.

If you can't find your answer in the resources they've listed, you can submit a question about the IECC to the Code Helpline and CEO's subject matter experts will respond to you via email within two business days. Submit questions about the Denver Energy Code to energy.review@denvergov.org.
