NOTICE OF PROPOSED DENVER ZONING CODE TEXT AMENDMENT and NOTICE OF COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT RECEIPT OF LEGISLATIVE OFFICIAL MAP AMENDMENT.

TEXT AMENDMENT: Proposed Denver Zoning Code Text Amendment to establish the Cherry Creek East Commercial Mixed Use Design Overlay District (DO-9) and Cherry Creek East Residential Design Overlay District (DO-10).

DESCRIPTION OF TEXT AND MAP AMENDMENT PROPOSAL: The proposed text amendment would create two new overlay zone districts following a multi-year process led by the Cherry Creek East Association and City Council District 10. The proposed map amendment (rezoning) would apply the new overlay zone districts to portions of Cherry Creek East.

The overlay zone districts are proposed to apply as follows:

  • The Cherry Creek East Commercial Mixed Use Design Overlay District (DO-9) would apply to Mixed Use (MX) and Residential Mixed Use (RX) zone districts in portions of Cherry Creek East.
  • The Cherry Creek East Residential Design Overlay District (DO-10) would apply to existing and rezoned Row House (RH) zone districts in portions of Cherry Creek East.
