Request an Appeal

If you have received a Notice of Violation, Administrative Citation, or Cost Recovery Invoice that you would like to appeal, please review appeal requirements for your citation.

Before you file an appeal, please reach out to the inspector listed on your citation directly, to see if you are able to come to an agreement regarding this citation.

All appeal submissions must include the following:

• Contact information, basis for the appeal, violation address, and the citation number
• Any evidence that you would like to present to support the appeal
• A $100.00 non-refundable hearing fee by check or money order made payable to “Manager of Finance”
  • If you are not the property owner listed on the property assessment record — a power of attorney for the property owner

Please Note: The Hearing Officer of Community Planning and Development does not have the authority to reverse or rescind any decision, determination, requirement, order, citation, permit, or certification made, issued, denied, rescinded, or revoked under the Denver Zoning Ordinance or the Denver Building Code.
