Diana Romero Campbell represents Denver City Council District 4 and serves as Denver City Council President. A lifelong southeast Denver resident, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, former nonprofit leader, and now councilmember, Diana has dedicated her career to expanding opportunities for children, families, and communities. Since taking office in 2023, Diana has focused on strengthening neighborhoods by fostering community, creating a sense of belonging, and ensuring residents have a voice in the decisions that shape District 4. After serving two years as Council President Pro Tem, she was elected Denver City Council President. Under Diana’s leadership, the South by Southeast Summer Series has grown into a collection of community events that bring together residents, local businesses, and neighborhood organizations while celebrating the diversity of southeast Denver. She also helped organize the Wellshire 100 celebration, commemorating the golf course’s centennial. Following the celebration, Wellshire Golf Course was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places, preserving an important part of District 4’s history. Diana has also championed initiatives that strengthen public safety and expand access to arts and culture throughout the district. During her tenure, several long-awaited projects that had remained in the queue for years have moved forward and reached completion, delivering meaningful improvements for District 4 residents. Diana has worked to advance affordability, amplify youth voices, and support policies that strengthen opportunities for children, families, and older adults. She understands at her core that change happens when you listen to all voices, treat everyone with respect and dignity, lift up people who have been historically marginalized, and follow the data as well as your heart.
