Southeast Denver is home to 11 parks, 2 golf courses, 1 recreation center, the High Line Canal, Goldsmith Gulch Trail and the Cherry Creek Trail! 

Parks:

Southeast Denver Parks Projects

  • University Hills North Park: The city purchased the Groundcovers Greenhouse property near Iliff Avenue and Birch Street for a new neighborhood park. Demolition is expected to begin in 2021. Park planning and community engagement will begin in 2022.
  • Hampden Heights Trails: The trails on the west side of Yosemite are not yet designed or scheduled.
  • Rosamond Park Tennis Courts: Resurfacing is needed, but not yet funded or scheduled.
  • Rosamond Park Basketball Courts resurfacing is funded in the Elevate Denver Bond, but is not scheduled.
  • Rosamond Park Playground upgrades are funded in the Elevate Denver Bond, but have not been designed or scheduled.
  • Southmoor Park Paths upgrades are funded in the Elevate Denver Bond, but have not been designed or scheduled.
  • Southmoor Park Basketball Courts upgrades are funded in the Elevate Denver Bond, but have not been designed or scheduled.
  • Southmoor Park Playground upgrades have been requested and are being evaluated by Denver Parks & Recreation.
  • Eisenhower Picnic Area upgrades are funded in the Elevate Denver Bond, but have not been designed or scheduled.

 

High Line Canal

  • A tunnel connecting the High Line Canal Trail under Yale and Holly has been funded by the Elevate Denver Bond. It has not yet been designed. Project timeline is TBD.
