Public Input Sessions in Committee

Things to know first:

When the council thinks about a new law, it starts out in a committee. If the bill is going to change the municipal code or a policy, then the committee holds a 15-minute public comment time where residents can speak on the issue. The time may be longer if the chairperson allows it. These public comment periods are listed in the weekly schedule. You can sign up here to receive the weekly schedule by email or find a link to it each week in the News section at the bottom of this page.

Here are a few things to know about speaking to a committee:

  • Sign-up to speak begins at 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the committee meeting and ends one hour before the committee meeting holding the public input session.
  • You can sign up to speak in person in the City Council Committee Room in the City and County Building at 1437 Bannock St, Room 391, or you may join the meeting and speak via Zoom. This is on the sign-up form.
  • You have two minutes to speak. There will be a timer you can see.
  • Because the comment time is only 15 minutes, not everyone may get to speak.

Public Hearings

The following public hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. Find out how to participate in public hearings in person, via Zoom, or in writing.

  • 25-1704: A bill for an ordinance approving and accepting the park building plan for the maintenance and operations facility, equipment building, and storage building, all located in City of Cuernavaca Park, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 39-210 and 39-211 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code.

 

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will have 15-minutes of public input on the following item on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. Find out how to participate in person, by Zoom, or in writing.

La siguiente audiencia pública está programada para el lunes 2 de diciembre de 2025 a las 5:30 p.m. Infórmese sobre cómo participar en las audiencias públicas en persona, por Zoom o por escrito.

  • 25-2009: Una ordenanza que enmienda los usos permitidos de los ingresos provenientes de la tarifa por bolsas desechables.

Once you know the committee, select it below to fill out the form to speak or to directly submit your written testimony. Remember that these forms open on the Thursday before the meeting at 5:00 p.m. and close one hour before the meeting time.
