Become a Poll Watcher or Observer

Poll Watchers are an important part of the election security process. These observers are named by the respective parties and submitted to the Denver Elections Division.

Three categories of observers are permitted at Voter Service and Polling Centers and in ballot processing areas. Read our guide for Poll Watchers and Appointing Authorities(PDF, 513KB).

  • Official Observers - those credentialed by the Colorado Secretary of State's Office or the United States government
  • Media Observers - credentialed members of the media
  • Poll Watchers - appointed by the parties and credentialed by the Denver Clerk & Recorder

Election Advisory Committee
The Denver Clerk & Recorder's Community Engagement team manages our Election Advisory Committee. This group meets regularly to provide advice and recommendations to elections officials and Clerk Paul López on various aspects of elections administration and management. 

Acceso
Spanish for "Access," the Acceso Advisory Board guides DCR in administering elections that enhance voting access for Spanish-speaking communities, ensuring language support, civic inclusion, and adherence to voting rights laws.
