Public hearing scheduled to discuss I/DD program rules and regulations

Notice of Public Hearing to propose Rules and Regulations in accordance with the authority in Denver Charter Section 2.92 and ARTICLE XVII. - DEDICATED PROPERTY TAXES FOR PURCHASE OF SERVICES ON BEHALF OF PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, Section 53-550
All interested parties are hereby given notice that the City and County of Denver, Denver Human Services, will hold a public rule-making hearing to consider rules and regulations governing the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Equitable Access to Services program as created by ordinance, DEDICATED PROPERTY TAXES FOR PURCHASE OF SERVICES ON BEHALF OF PERSONS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ARTICLE XVII., Chapter 53
The hearing will be held virtually using the Microsoft Teams Live meeting platform to maintain the safety of participants and ensure appropriate social distancing. Those wishing to join may follow the link provided on the Denver Human Services web page at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021. The meeting will conclude at 5 p.m. Any change to the meeting access will be posted on the agenda one week prior to the meeting.
Please notify us via email at IDDEASemail@example.com of your intent to speak (two (2) minute limit per person) at the public hearing no later than 3 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2021.
You may also submit comments in writing at https://publicinput.com/N8368 by 3 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2021. Comments can also be hand delivered (to our DHS drop box on the first floor exterior southeast corner of the building) or mailed to Denver Human Services, Attention: IDDEAS Program, 1200 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80204. Written comments must be received no later than 3 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2021.
The proposed rules and regulations can be viewed online(PDF, 232KB) on the Denver Human Services website or in person at the first floor entrance of the Richard T. Castro Human Services Center, 1200 Federal Blvd.
Description: These are new rules to guide implementation of the Denver Mill Levy Ordinance for operation of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Equitable Access to Services (IDDEAS) program, and address definitions, residency requirements, indirect cost practices, and grievance procedures.
