Black Belt is a four-day in-depth training in process improvement tools and change management and is meant to immerse the participant in a rigorous, hands-on experience. The first portion of the training takes place over three and a half consecutive days, and the second portion is an additional half-day roughly one month later. The second portion is optional for participants external to the City. If you do choose to participate in this, you will have the option to join virtually and do not need to travel back to Denver. Participants are expected to come to training with an improvement project in mind and will get working time in class to apply the tools they learn directly to their project.
- Class Availability: While our primary focus for the Denver Peak Academy is to train City and County of Denver (CCD) employees, we do reserve a limited number of seats per class for non-City of Denver employees. (Please note: we do not offer training to for-profit entities)
- Training Cost: $2,500 per non-CCD participant. (Invoice must be paid in order to be registered for your selected training)
- Training Location: Denver Peak Academy Black Belt Training takes place at the Wellington Webb Municipal Building – 201 W Colfax Ave. Denver, CO 80202.
