Register Your Bike

The City of Denver encourages the registration of bicycles to assist in the recovery and return of bicycles to their owners in the event of a theft.

This form will allow you to register all of the bicycles that belong to you. The registration is intended for bicycle owners, not bicycles that are owned by a store and awaiting sale.

Tips for Securing Your Bike

Always lock up bicycles if they’re kept outside or in a garage. Otherwise, keep them inside.
Keep a copy of your bike’s serial number in your records.
Take a photograph of your bike. This helps with identification.
Use a good lock. The best choice is a strong, reliable U-lock. You can also combine a U-lock with a cable, or even use two U-locks.

What To Do If Your Bike is Stolen

Please call the Denver Police Department’s non-emergency line at (720) 913-2000 to report your stolen bike. If possible, have your bike’s serial number on hand.
